Adding or Removing a connector can be difficult.
- Removing a previous connection.
- Many drink tube connectors are heat shrunk into the tube making a vacuum type seal to prevent leaks. Pulling apart may stretch the tube or damage the other components.
- Option 1: In many cases you must apply heat (Heat Gun, Hair Dryer, Extreme Hot Water) to soften and expand the drink to ease the connector out.
- Option 2: You can cut the tubing approximately an inch above the original connector and insert the new coupler as the example shown in the Photos Tab.
- Adding a Connector / Coupler to a tube.
- Many drink tubes have thick walls to prevent kinking. This can make it difficult to insert the connector.
- Option 1: In many cases you must apply heat (Heat Gun, Hair Dryer, Extreme Hot Water) to soften and expand the drink to ease the connector in.
- Finding an object the spread and widen the tube diameter when tube is heated will help.
